Structural Moments is a subscription-based learning resource focused on helping architecture students, emerging professionals, and licensure candidates better understand structural concepts through short, visual, and practical video lessons.

Navigating the Content

How is the content organized?

Videos are organized using categories and tags:

  • Categories group videos by broad topic areas (for example: structural systems, materials, forces, or construction concepts).
  • Tags allow you to explore more specific ideas or related concepts across categories.

You can browse by category, follow tags, or search directly for keywords.

What are “micro-learning” videos?

Most videos focus on a single concept, idea, or term. This allows you to learn in short, focused sessions that fit into a studio, office, or study schedule.

There is no required order to watch the videos. Most content is designed to stand on its own, allowing you to jump directly to the topics you need.

That said, some videos are part of a recommended sequence. These sequences are indicated by numbered titles (for example, a series of videos with similar names followed by 1, 2, 3, etc.). Videos later in a sequence may build on or revisit ideas introduced in earlier videos, sometimes with greater depth or from a different perspective.

You are free to follow a sequence from beginning to end or watch individual videos independently, depending on your goals and prior knowledge.

Do videos include transcripts?

Yes. Every video includes a full transcript on the same page for reading, reference, and review.

Are transcripts searchable?

Yes. Transcripts are fully searchable. In addition to searching the written transcript on the page, the Vimeo player provides searchable, time-linked transcripts that allow you to search for a word or phrase inside the video and jump directly to the corresponding moment.

Do videos include subtitles or captions?

Yes. All videos include full subtitles/captions provided through Vimeo, allowing you to watch with sound off or support different learning and accessibility needs.

How do video transcripts and subtitles work?

Videos are embedded using Vimeo and take advantage of Vimeo’s accessibility features. Subtitles and transcripts are synchronized with the video, making it easy to:

  • Jump to a specific section of a video
  • Review key concepts quickly
  • Reinforce learning through both visual and written content

Why include both transcripts and subtitles?

Providing multiple ways to engage with the material supports different learning styles and makes it easier to revisit complex ideas without rewatching an entire video.

Live Sessions & Community Learning

Are there live sessions?

Live question-and-answer sessions are planned as the site grows. These sessions will allow subscribers to ask questions, share drawings or construction images, and explore real-world issues together.

Will live sessions be recorded?

Yes. Recorded live sessions will be added to the video library and made available to all subscribers.

Membership & Billing (via Memberful)

How do I manage my subscription?

All subscriptions are managed through Memberful. You can update your plan, billing information, or cancel your subscription at any time through your Memberful account.

What is included in a business plan?

Business plans allow an organization to:

  • Manage which users have access
  • Add or remove users as needed
  • Control access centrally through Memberful

Can I switch plans later?

Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or change plans through Memberful at any time.

What happens if I cancel my subscription?

You will retain access through the end of your current billing period. After that, access to subscriber-only content will end.

What subscription plans are available?

  • Individual plans: Monthly or quarterly billing
  • Business plans:
    • Up to 5 users
    • Up to 15 users

What devices can I use to watch the videos?
